AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
A,%1ENDING SECTION 15-12, 1980 CODE OF ORDIN-
ANCES (FORMERLY SECTION 18-11 , 1971 CODE)
BY AMENDING THE OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE FEES
TO BE PAID BY PERSONS, FIRMS OR ASSOCIATIONS
MAINTAINING A PERMANENT BUSINESS LOCATION
OR BRANCH OFFICE WITHIN SAID MUNICIPALITY
FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF ENGAGING IN OR MAN-
AGING ANY BUSINESS, PROFESSION OR OCCUPA-
TION WITHIN THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA;
AND PROVIDING THAT ANY SPECIAL ORDINANCES
PASSED BY THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, WHICH
AMONG THEIR TERMS, PROVIDE FOR LICENSING
FEES, SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT
UNLESS SPECIFICALLY REPEALED BY THE WRITTEN
ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES AND ALL RESOLUTIONS OR
PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
DANIA, FLORIDA:
i� Section 1. That Section 15-2 , 1980 Code of Ordinances
(formerly Section 18-11 , 1971 Code) , City of Dania, Florida,
concerning the license fees to be paid by persons , firms or
associations maintaining a permanent business location or
branch office within said municipality for the privilege of
engaging in or managing any business , profession or occupation
within the City of Dania, Florida, be and the same is hereby
amended to provide , after such amendment as follows :
"Sec. 15-12. License fee schedule.
The amount which shall be paid by the
several persons , firms or associations main-
taining a permanent business location or
branch office within the City of Dania,.
Florida, for the privilege of engaging in
or managing any business , profession or
occupation within said municipality are as
follows : "

1. ABSTRACT AND TITLE COMPANIES, OR AGENTS 50 .00

Advertising agency, agents , canvassers
or solicitors (where there is no other
applicable classification) including
welcome wagon organizations , greeting

relations firms. The charge for each
agent is 50. 00
Persons distributing circulars, pamphlets

merchants advertising in this way their

to be granted by City Manager, in his

Section 2. Recognizing that special ordinances have been
adopted from time to time which contain among their incidental
provisions, provisions providing for exact amounts to be paid in
certain cases for occupational licenses , the City Commission does
hereby determine and ordain that any and all license fees set
forth in such special ordinances shall remain in full force and
effect unless specifically changed, amended or repealed by any
of the items or amounts set forth in Section 1 hereof and which is

intended to be the schedule of occupational license fees adopted
by Section 15-12 of 1980 Code of Ordinances, City of Dania,
Florida, as amended herein.
Section 3. That except as herein amended, all other pro-
visions of Chapter 15 of 1980 Code of Ordinances, City of Dania,

Florida, shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
i
and all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in force and
take effect on October 1 , 1.980.

The governing body of an incorporated municipality may levey,
by appropriate resolution or ordinance , an occupational license tax f
for the privilege of engaging in or managing any business, profession,
or occupation within its jurisdiction. However, such governing body
shall first give at least fifteen (15) days' public notice between

the first and last reading of such resolution or ordinance by publishing ,
such notice in a newspaper of general circulation within its jurisdiction

classifications and rates applicable to the occupational license
