HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-1991-108 w r RESOLUTION NO. 108-91 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING AND ENACTING A SCHEDULE OF RATES AND CHARGES FOR THE CONSUMPTION OF WATER; PROVIDING THAT ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE AS OF THE OCTOBER 1, 1991 BILLING DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . As provided for in Section 27-24 of Ordinance No. i 30-91, entitled "Rates and Charges for Consumption of Water", as y passed and adopted on second and final reading on September 11, s 1991, the following rates for the consumption of water be and the same are hereby approved and adopted: " ( 1) Residential users. A base charge of eight dollars and ` =. sixty six cents ($8.66) bi-monthly shall be applied to all single-family residences, each living unit in cooperative and condominium usages, multi-family structures, and each unit in mobile home parks for water supplied to each of such units for said bi-monthly period. In addition, a charge for each thousand ( 1,000 ) gallons of water used by each of such units for said bi-monthly period will be made according to the following schedule: $1 .22 for each 1,000 gallons used from 0 to 17,000 gallons. $1 .53 for each 1,000 gallons used from 17,001 to 27,000 gallons. $1 .83 for each 1,000 gallons used over 27,000. (2 ) Commercial, business, sprinkler meters and industrial users. A bi-monthly base charge per meter according to the size thereof for service to a commercial, industrial, business, sprinkler meter, institutional or similar unit, building or complex, and each separate municipal or other governmental agency, building or special type unit shall be levied according to the following schedule: 5/8" meter. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 8.66 111 meter. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 21.65 1-1/2" meter. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 43.30 r- , fi. � 4 2" meter. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 69.28 3" meter. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 138.56 4" meter. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 216.50 6" meter. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 433.00 In addition, a charge for each thousand ( 1,000) gallons of water used for said bi-monthly period will be made according to the following schedule: 5/8" meter $1 .22 for each 1, 000 gallons used from 0 to 17,000 gallons. $1 .53 for each 1,000 gallons used from 17,001 to 27,000. $1 .83 for each 1, 000 gallons used over 27,000. 1" meter $1.22 for each 1,000 gallons used from 0 to 90,000 gallons . $1.53 for each 1,000 gallons used from 90,001 to 115,000 gallons. $1.83 for each 1, 000 gallons used over 115,000. meter $1.22 for each 1,000 gallons used from 0 to y 107, 000 gallons. $1.53 for each 1,000 gallons used from 107, 001 to 157,000 gallons. w $1. 83 for each 1,000 gallons used over 157,000. 2" meter $1 .22 for each 1,000 gallons used from 0 to 220,000 gallons. $1.53 for each 1,000 gallons used from 220, 001 to 300,000 gallons. $1.83 for each 1,000 gallons used over 300,000. 3" meter $1.22 for each 1,000 gallons used from 0 to 527,000 gallons. $1. 53 for each 1,000 gallons used from 527,001 to 687,000 gallons. $1. 83 for each 1,000 gallons used over 687, 000. 4" meter $1 .22 for each 1,000 gallons used from 0 to 1,500, 000 gallons. $1.53 for each 11000 gallons used from 1, 500, 001 to 1, 750,000 gallons. $1 . 83 for each 1,000 gallons used over 1,750, 000 -2- Resolution No. 108-91 t ram., r 6" meter $1.22 for each 1,000 gallons used from 0 to 2,994 ,000 gallons. $1.53 for each 1,000 gallons used from 2,994,001 to 3,494,000 gallons. $1.83 for each 1,000 gallons used over 3,494,000. The charges listed in ( 1 ) and (2) above shall remain in force as long as the service is connected to the water main, whether turned on or off. However, when the owner of property requests that a meter be removed from the premises, billing will be discontinued until such time as the owner requests that the meter be reinstalled and service continued. A charge of one hundred dollars ($100. 00) will be assessed for the reinstallation. " Section 2 . That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 3 . That this resolution shall be in force and take ' effect as of the October 1, 1991 billing date. ? � PASSED and ADOPTED on this 24th day of September 1991.
