ORDINANCE NO. 13 -92
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AMENDING
SECTION 5. 15 OF ARTICLE 5, CHAPTER 28 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, ENTITLED "LOT
WIDTH AND AREA"; AND SECTION 39-741(a) AND 39-787 (a) OF
THE BROWARD COUNTY ZONING CODE AS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 33-91 PASSED AND ADOPTED ON SEPTEMBER 11, 1991, TO
ELIMINATE THE CONSTRUCTION OF DUPLEXES FROM A SINGLE LOT
OF RECORD LESS THAN SIXTY ( 60) FEET IN WIDTH; PROVIDING
THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES AND ALL
RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA,
FLORIDA: �
Section 1 . That Section 5. 15 of Article 5, Chapter 28 of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania, Florida, be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 5.15. LOT WIDTH AND AREA.
(a) All lot, yard and bulk regulations for both the
{ principal and accessory uses shall be calculated within
Il the confines of the lot.
(b) Every plot upon which a residential structure is
erected shall be not less than sixty (60) feet in width
and six thousand ( 6,000) square feet in area; except
that a plot consisting of a single lot of record not
less than fifty ( 50 ) feet in width and held in separate
ownership at the effective date of this ordinance, may
be utilized for a single family dwelling. "
Section 2 . That Section 39-741 (a) and Section 39-787(a) of
the Broward County Zoning Code as adopted by Ordinance No. 33-91
on September 1, 1991, be and the same are hereby amended to read
Ordinance No. 13-92

provisions of said Section 5. 15 of Article 5 of Chapter 28 of the ff
Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania, Florida, and Sections

Ordinance No. 33-91 passed and adopted on September 11, 1991,

Section 3. That
all ordinances or parts of ordinances and

Section 4 . That this ordinance shall be in force and take

FLORIDA. INTERESTED PARTIES MAY APPEAR AT THE MEETING AND BE HEARD
REGARDING APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSED TEXT AMENDMENT.
INFORMATION ON THIS PROPOSED TEST AMENDMENT CAN BE OBTAINED AT
THE DANIA CITY HALL, GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT, ON WEEKDAYS
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:30 A.M. AND 5:00 P M.

Zoning Board with regard to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing will
need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose may need to ensure that a
