Section l That a new section is hereby added to Article 6
of Chapter 28 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania,
Florida, to be designated 6 . 16 which shall read as follows:
"Sec. 6.16. Home Occupations.
� (a) Definition.
Home Occupation. A home occupation is a lawful activity
commonly carried on within a dwelling by a member or members
I of the family who occupy the dwelling where the occupation
is secondary to the use of the dwelling for living purposes
and the residential character of the dwelling is maintained.

vehicular traffic.
7 . No equipment or process shall be used in such home
occupation which creates noise, vibration, glare, fumes,
odors, or electrical interference detectable to tl:e
normal senses off the lot, if the occupation zs
conducted in other than a single-family residence, or
outside the dwelling unit if conducted in other than, tz

(c) Permitted home occupations are restricted to the
following:
1 . Artists and sculptors.
2 . Authors and composers .
3 . Home crafts for sale off-site such as dressmaking,
tailoring.
4 . Office facility of a salesman, sales representative, or
manufacturer' s representative provided that no
s transactions are made in person on the premises.
5. Individual tutoring.
6 . Preserving and home cooking for sale off-site.
7 . Individual instrument instruction between the hours of
9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Saturday of
each week.

(d) Professional offices are to be reviewed and approved by
city commission. f
Section 2 . That all other sections of said Article 6 of

Chapter 28 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania, Florida
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and
_ all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4 . That this ordinance shall be in force and take
effect immediately upon its final passage and adoption and shall
expire and stand repealed one year from the effective date hereof.
PASSED and ADOPTED on First Reading on the llth day of
February, 1992.

NOTICE OF ZONING CODE TEXT CHANGE
The City of Dania proposes to amend the text of the Dania zoning code which
changes the permitted use of the land within the area shown in the map in this
advertisement.The supplementary use regulations in article 6 are proposed to
be amended by adding section 6.16, home occupations. The proposed text
amendment provides a definition of home occupation, provides standards,
provides restrictions to permitted uses, provide for conflicts and provides for
an effective date. A public hearing on the proposal will be held on February
25, 1992 at 8:00 P.M. at Dania City Hall, 100 West Dania Beach Blvd., Dania,
Florida. Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard regard
ing approval of the proposed text amendment, Information on this pro-
posed text amendment can be obtained at the Dania City Hall, Planning and
Zoning Dept., on weekdays between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Dania Planning and Zoning Board with regard to any matter con-
sidered at this meeting or hearing will need a record of the pro-
ceedings and for such purpose may need to ensure that a verba-
tim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the
