HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-1992-157 t` RESOLUTION NO. 1p A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, F ` VACATING T f IN BLOCK 3iAT CERTAIN 15 FOOT ALLEY AS SHOWN OF THE PLAT OF " PARK NORTH" ACCORDING TO THE PLAT s r .: RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 3, PAGE 33 , S OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BOUNDED ON THE EAST BY THE WEST LINE OF LOT 4 OF SAID BLOCK 3; BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY THE EAST LINES OF LOTS 1, 2, AND 3 OF SAID BLOCK 3; BOUNDED ON THE SOUTH BY THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SHERIDAN STREET; AND BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF S.E. 15TH STREET; SAID LANDS CONTAINING 1680 SQUARE FEET, ALSO BEING 0. 0386 ACRES. AND PROVIDING THAT ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR }� EFFECTIVE DATE. } WHEREAS, Section 3, Article 3, Part IX, as amended, of the � Charter of the City of Dania, sets forth the procedure for vacating and abandoning streets, alleys or other property dedicated to the public use; and WHEREAS, Theodore Karachalias duly petitioned the City Commission, City of Dania Florida, for the vacation of that alley legally described as follows: THAT CERTAIN 15 FOOT ALLEY AS SHOWN IN BLOCK 3 AC THE PLAT OF "ST. JAMES PARK NORTH" ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF, AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 3, PAGE 33 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BOUNDED ON THE EAST BY THE WEST LINE OF LOT 4 OF SAID BLOCK 3; BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY THE EAST LINES OF LOTS 1, 2, AND 3 OF SAID BLOCK 3; BOUNDED ON THE SOUTH BY THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SHERIDAN STREET; AND BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF S.E. FEET STREET; SAID LANDS 15TH CONTAI CONTAINING 1680 SQUARE , ALSO BEING 0. 0386 ACRES; and I � -1-I+ i Resolution No. _ 157_92 WHEREAS, the City Commission referred said petition to the City Planning and Zoning Board for its recommendation; and r� WHEREAS, at the meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board held on the 8th day of October, 1992, the Planning and Zoning Board I I unanimously voted to recommend that the said alley be vacated and abandoned; and WHEREAS, after publication of notice as required by Section 3, Article 3, Part IX of the Charter of the City of Dania, a public hearing was held before the City Commission at its regular meeting held on the loth day of November, 1992. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . That the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, does hereby vacate, abandon, renounce and disclaim all of the right, title and interest of the City of Dania in and to the following alley, to-wit: THAT CERTAIN 15 FOOT ALLEY AS SHOWN IN BLOCK 3 OF THE PLAT OF "ST. JAMES PARK NORTH" ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF, AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 3, PAGE 33 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BOUNDED ON THE EAST BY THE WEST LINE OF LOT 4 OF SAID I I BLOCK 3; BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY THE EAST LINES OF LOTS 1, 2, AND 3 OF SAID BLOCK 3; BOUNDED ON THE SOUTH BY THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SHERIDAN STREET; AND BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF S.E. 15TH STREET; SAID LANDS CONTAINING 1680 SQUARE FEET, ALSO BEING 0.0386 ACRES. Section 2. Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. I i Section 4 .
