Home My WebLink AboutO-1993-026 ORDINANCE NO. 26-93 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 1, ARTICLE 3 OF PART XII OF THE CITY CHARTER TO ELIMINATE THE REQUIREMENT OF REAL PROPERTY OWNERSHIP TO BE ELIGIBLE TO SERVE ON ADVISORY BOARDS; PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES AND ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN +1 EFFECTIVE DATE. i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA. Section 1. That Section 1, Article 3 of Part XII of the C City Charter be and the s same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 1. How constituted. The city commission may at any time by resolution appoint advisory ' boards composed of men or women who are residents of the City of Dania for a period of six (6) months prior to their appointment and l otherwise qualified to act in an advisory capacity to the city commission, the city manager, or to any department of the city government, with respect to the conduct and management of any property or institution or the exercise of any public functions of the city. The members of such board shall serve without compensation at the pleasure of the commission, and their duties shall be to f consult and advise with such municipal officers and make written recommendations which shall become part of the records of the city." Section 2. Except as herein amended, all other provisions of said Part XII of the City Charter shall remain in full force and effect. Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
