HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-1993-072 "i RESOLUTION No. 72-93 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, FOR ASSISTANCE UNDER THE FLORIDA INLAND NAVIGATION DISTRICT WATERWAYS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. f` WHEREAS, the City of Dania is interested in carrying out 1 the following described project for the enjoyment of the citizenry of the City of Dania and State of Florida: Project Title: Dania Cut-off Canal Dredging Study ew Total Estimated Cost: $16,000. 00 M Brief Description of Project: t, ( li� To study the approximately five miles of the Dania . Cut-off Canal lying within the city limits of the City of Dania to determine the feasibility of future dredging projects . T Y . AND, Florida Inland Navigation District financial assistance is required for the program mentioned above, NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, that the project described above be authorized, AND, be it further resolved that said City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, make application to the Florida Inland Navigation District in the amount of 50% of the actual cost of the project in behalf of said City of Dania, AND, be it further resolved by the City Commission of the City of Dania that it certifies to the following: .1 i 1. That it will accept the terms and conditions set i forth in FIND Rule 16T-2 F.A.C. and which will be a part of the Project Agreement for any assistance awarded under the Resolution No. 72-93 j attached proposal . 2 ' p; 2. That it is in complete accord with the attached proposal and that it will carry out the program in the manner described in the proposal and any plans and specifications �. attached thereto unless prior approval for any change has i been received from the district. 3. That it has the ability and intention to finance its share of the cost of the project and that the project will be operated and maintained at the expense of said City of Dania for public use. n 4 . That it will not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color or national origin in the use of any fq property or facility acquired or developed pursuant to this _.. ..:�A �I.e �er.n nnri 4 ntant of the proposal, and quail -,,Ply : . .. ....__-n - - - - - -- Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 , P.L. 88-352( 1964 ) and design and construct all facilities to comply fully with I statutes relating to accessibility by handicapped persons as well as other federal, state and local laws, rules and requiremnts. 5. That it will maintain adequate financial records on the proposed project to substantiate claims for reimbursement. 6. That it will make available to FIND if requested, a ;j post-audit of expenses incurred on the project prior to, or Iin conjunction with, request for the final 10% of the funding agreed to by FIND. p -2- I 7 . That this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
