RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 93
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA,
FLORIDA, APPROVING THE AGREEMENT
BEWEEN THE CITY OF DANIA AND DATA
TICKET, INC.; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE. ,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That that certain Agreement between the City of Dania and Data
Ticket, Inc., a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be and the same is
hereby approved and the appropriate city officials are hereby authorized to execute
same.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately
upon its passage and adoption.

AGREEMENT
This Agreement between the City of Dania and Data Ticket, Inc. is for
the usage of a collection process designed to enhance the City's ability
to obtain parking revenue.

1 . Data Ticket is authorized to act as an agent for the City to collect
unpaid parking citations, and other items, as specified by the City of
Dania for the period May 1 , 1993 through April 30, 1994. Either party
may terminate this agreement with 60 days written notice.
2. The City of Dania will provide a mutually suitable arrangement for the
collection of funds, and express authorization to do business on the City
of Dania's behalf with Department of Motor Vehicles in the United States
and Canada.
3. Data Ticket will: provide forms, notices, postage; maintain files on
collected information and provide this information to the City of Dania to
update its files; provide the City of Dania with management reports; and
use its best efforts to obtain maximum results, to include the use of
outside collectirn agencies. Collection activities will be in strict I
compliance with federal, state and local laws with adherence to the Fair )
Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). f
4. Collections from this process will be split 65% for the City and 35%
for Data Ticket, and at least once per month such funds will be
transferred to each party. Data Ticket will provide "Mark and Clear" with
Florida DMV and be compensated $12 for each license marked.
5. Data Ticket shall not be responsible for the City of Dania's failure to
provide correct or timely infraction information.
6. Florida has open public records law. (FS 119)
