A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO APPLY FOR A GRANT
BEING OFFERED UNDER THE FEMA HAZARD MITIGATION GRANT
PROGRAM THROUGH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS, TO ASSIST WITH THE PURCHASE OF +
HURRICANE SHUTTERS FOR THE CITY OF DANIA f
ADMINISTRATION BUILDING WHICH IS A DESIGNATED
EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER IN THE EVENT OF A
HURRICANE OR OTHER NATURAL DISASTER; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida hereby
authorizes the city manager or his designee to apply for a grant being offered under the
1 FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program through the State of Florida Department of
Community Affairs to assist with the purchase of hurricane shutters for the City of Dania
Administration Building which is a designated emergency operations center in the event
of a hurricane or other natural disaster.

Section 2. That this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon i
? its passage and adoption.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 10th day of August 1993.
