PARKER COMMUNITY CENTER" PROVIDING THAT ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida, has determined that it is appropriate to levy fees for the use of certain city facilities and/or services provided. k I NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: $ tgc ion 1, That the fees and charges related to the use of the 'LT. Parker Community Center " be and the same are hereby revised in accordance with the fee schedule described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. , rti m 2. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Sectioo 3. XHIBIT "Ar' f . 1 EXTRAORDINARY RENTALS The rate for any event or function involving holiday, multi day, full facility rental or other i extraordinary circumstances shall be negotiated on a case-by-case basis by the city manager or his/her designee. DEFINITIONS CITY EMPLOYEE - Shall mean persons on the personnel roster of the City of Dania, Florida or any organization whose membership is made up exclusively of city employees. f CITY SPONSORED ORGANIZATION - Shall mean any group officially recognized and supported by the city commission or one of the city's operating departments. HOUR - Whenever the term "per hour' is used it shall mean any full hour or portion thereof. IN-CITY NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION - Shall mean any not-for-profit organization registered with the offices of the Secretary of State of Florida and having a registered mailing address within the City of Dania. (P.O. Box address not acceptable) RESERVATION - Shall mean the completion in full of the facility lease agreement, payment of the required deposit and furnishing of insurance and licenses when required. RESIDENT - Shall mean any person who presents the following documents: 1. Florida driver's license or Broward County voter's registration showing Dania address in the same name as the lessee; and 2. A current utility bill (phone, electric, water) showing the same Dania address in the same name of the lessee. CITY USE OF FACILITIES There shall be no fee for use of any facility by any operating department of the City to conduct d official programs or activities of the department. Activities/programs must be scheduled in advance as required for any other function. i BROWARD COUNTY SCHOOLS For schools located within the City of Dania, there will be no charge for use of the facilities in ` reciprocation for city's free use of school facilities located within the city. Scheduling must ; e P.T.O. and approved by the recreation director. be requested by the principal or president of th DEPOSITS FOR RESERVATIONS A fifty percent deposit must be made at the time a reservation for use of the center or any part thereof is requested. This deposit is non-refundable unless the person paying same a er refund the s reservation, in writing, on or before sixty (60) days prior to the reservation date, subject to a $40 administrative charge which will be deducted from the deposit. S i III f I f y, I SECURITY DEPOSITS I Security deposits are refundable if the following conditions have been met: 1. No damages to the premises have resulted from the use of the center. 2. No rules of the center (such as the no-smoking rule) have been violated. 3. The premises are properly cleaned and the furniture and f imishings are properly arranged and/or stored. The costs of cleaning the premises (if necessary) or the repair or replacement of damaged property shall be deducted from the security deposit. Any disputes as to refund shall be settled by the city commission. SMOKING Smoking is not permitted in the I.T. Parker Community Center. Applicant is responsible for enforcement of this policy with your group. Any smoking in the premises shall result in automatic forfeiture of the entire security deposit. i i i .
