Dania Beach Boulevard x F Dania, FL 33003 RE: PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATIVE TO CONSTRUCTION fi OF THE NEW DANIA FISHING PIE CITY' OF DANIA, BROH'ARD COUNTY, y Al,l FLORIDA J Dear Mr. Flately: � 3'4 Pursuant to verbal authorization from the City Commission, this is to confirm that Coastal V ' Technology Corporation (Coastal Tech) will act on behalf of the City of Dania (City) as technical consultants relative to the City's request for proposals for construction of a new fishing pier. The following are proposed terms of agreement between Coastal Tech and the City of Dania: . PART I rI--,CIINICAIj SPFCIFICATIOVLS Coastal Tech will prepare general technical provisions for construction of the new fishing pier. The technical specifications will become part of the City of Dania's Request For Proposals (RFP) for the new pier. The technical provisions will include the summary of work, minimum design requirements, construction materials, and utility construction. The provisions will include design standards and permitting requirements. $1,500.00 Fees for Part I services are estimated at PART 1I )\1FFTINGS AND CONSUL TATIONS At the request of the City, Coastal Tech will attend City Commission meetings, public hearings, and meetings with respondents to the RFP to offer technical assistance with regard to construction of the new pier. Coastal Tech will assist the City to clarify technical questions and to issue addendums as needed to the RFP, prior to the receipt of the proposals. Coastal Tech will I review the contractor's periodic pay requests and make recommendation to the City for payment. 1 Coastal Tech Will perform a substantial and final inspection of construction and certify to the City and the regulatory agencies of project completion. Coastal Tech will perform the aforementioned services on an hourly rate basis and expenses will be billed separately per the attached Coastal Tech rate schedule. The City shall make payment to Coastal Tech upon receipt of an invoice. Invoices not paid within thirty (30) days and not in dispute shall incur interest at a rate of 1.5 percent per month. The City agrees to pay any cost of collection including reasonable attorneys fees incurred whether or not a suit is commenced or an appeal is taken. If you wish us to perform the services described above, please issue a purchase order which will serve as our Authorisation to Proceed. Should you have any questions, please contact me.
