RESOLUTION NO. _
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, IN
RECOGNITION OF PASTOR JEAN FRENCH AND HER MANY
?. CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CITIZENS OF DANIA DURING HER
PASTORATE WITH DANIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Pastor Jean French has served the congregation of Dania United
Methodist Church as its spiritual leader for the past five years; and
WHEREAS, Pastor French is the fourth longest serving g pastor in the
r church's ninety year history;ry; and
WHEREAS, on June 11, 1995, she will preach her last sermon before leaving
to assume the pastorate of Trinity United Methodist Church in Arcadia, Florida; and a
WHEREAS, Pastor French will marry Rev. Jim Russo in August; and
WHEREAS, during her service in our city, Pastor French has been active in

many community and civic events.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE

individually and on behalf of the citizens of Dania, does hereby recognize Pastor
Jean French and extends its heartfelt appreciation to her for the service she has
rendered to our community during her pastorate with the Dania United

xF ryr ," Church, and further, extends its best wishes to her as she assumes her pastorate
with Trinity United Methodist Church in Arcadia and begins a new life as Mrs. Jim
Russo.
