The grant was approved in the amount of $49,250 with the intention of improving Tigertail Park. The improvements stated in the grant included primarily fencing along the east edge of the property along the CSX tracks, a nature trail/jogging path, picnic facilities, fishing/model boat dock, and playground. The City of Dania has found it necessary to terminate this grant due to the fact that the design for the Tigertail Park facility has changed substantially. The redesign would include a deepened lake for fishing, a wetland area adjacent to a new entrance road, parking, and relocated Broward Community College facilities. Since the terms of the agreement obviously cannot be met, we respectfully request that project grant agreement F9514 be terminated immediately. lf you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
