RESOLUTION NO. 92-98

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE A DEED TO CONVEY TO
I BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, A PORTION OF CITY LANDS TO BE
i USED FOR ROADWAY PURPOSES, A COPY OF WHICH DEED IS
ATTACHED AS EXHIBIT"A"; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.

WHEREAS, the City has been requested, in connection with the development of the
Bass Pro project, to convey a small portion of lands lying adjacent to a portion of Angler's
Avenue (formerly known as Ravenswood Road), which portion lies south of Griffin Road
in the City; and
WHEREAS, the portion sought for the project is proposed to be conveyed to
Broward County, Florida, to improve access in connection with the project; and

WHEREAS, since the subject lands were acquired from Broward County, they have
been used as a portion of Tigertail Park and have not been used for active recreational or
park purposes, nor are there any improvements located on the area requested to be
conveyed; and

WHEREAS, such limited area is no longer needed by the City in connection with the
use of the Park; and
I
WHEREAS, it is to the common benefit of the City, the County and the project that
the area be determined to be "surplus" and that the City declare such lands to be surplus,
all in accord with the requirements of Part XII, Article 3, Section 1 of the Dania City Charter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the foregoing recitals are true, correct and incorporated into this
Resolution by this reference.
Section 2. That that certain Deed proposed to be executed by the proper City
officials of the City of Dania, Florida, in substantial form attached as Exhibit "A", is
j approved and the appropriate City officials are authorized to execute it. The City Manager

and the City Attorney are authorized to make revisions to such Deed as may be necessary
to effectuate its conveyance.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
adoption.

QUIT CLAIM DEED

THIS INDENTURE,made on the day setforth below between THE CITY OF DANIA,
a municipal corporation, hereinafter called the Grantor, the post office address of which is
100 West Dania Beach Boulevard, P.O. Box 1708, Dania, Florida 33004, and BROWARD
COUNTY, FLORIDA, a political subdivision of the State of Florida hereinafter called the
j Grantee, the mailing address of which 115 South Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale,

Florida 33301.

WITNESSETH, that the Grantor, for and in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars
($10.00) and other good and valuable consideration in hand paid by the Grantee, the
receipt of which is acknowledged, has granted,bargained and sold to the Grantee its heirs,
successors and assigns forever, the following described lands, together with any and all
appurtenances thereto, to wit:

consisting of two pages, a copy of which is attached
to this Deed and incorporated by this reference.
The property appraiser's parcel identification number is Folio No.: 0233-08-001.
IN WITNESS OF THE FOREGOING, the Grantor has set its officials' hands and
seals to convey the property to Grantee on June 23 , 1998.
