RESOLUTION NO. 67-98

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO
CONVEY TO THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF BROWARD COUNTY, INC.
LANDS PREVIOUSLY USED FOR ROADWAY PURPOSES, WHICH
ROADWAYS WERE RECENTLY VACATED BY THE CITY, A COPY OF
WHICH DEED IS ATTACHED AS EXHIBIT "A"; FURTHER, PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That that certain Quit Claim Deed proposed to be executed by the
proper City officials of the City of Dania, Florida, in substantial form attached as Exhibit"A",
is approved and the appropriate City officials are authorized to execute it. The City
Manager and the City Attorney are authorized to make minor revisions to such Deed as
may be necessary to effectuate its conveyance.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
adoption.

THIS INDENTURE, made on the day set forth below between THE CITY OF
DANIA, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called the Grantor,
whose post office address is 100 West Dania Beach Boulevard, Dania,
Florida 33004, and THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF BROWARD COUNTY, INC. , a
Florida corporation not for profit, hereinafter called the Grantee,
whose mailing address is 2070 Griffin Road, Dania, Florida 33312,
and whose federal tax identification number is 59-6002321;
WITNESSETH: that the said Grantor, for and in consideration of the
sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00) and other valuable consideration in
hand paid by the Grantee, the receipt of which is hereby
1 acknowledged, has granted, bargained and sold to the said Grantee,
his heirs, successors and assigns forever, the following described
lands, together with any and all appurtenances thereto, to-wit:
A portion of Parkway lying East of and adjacent to Block
12, and a portion of Pine Street lying South of and
adjacent to said Block 12, all as shown on the plat of
HIGHLAND PARK UNIT NO. 2, according to the plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book 12, page 29, of the public records
of Broward County, Florida, and being all more fully
described as follows: Beginning-at the Northeast corner
of Lot 9 of said Block 12; thence North 01025/09/1 West,
on the East line of said Block 12,' a distance of 101.15
feet; thence North 87*4715111 East on the South right-of-
way line of Griffin Road and on a line 20.00 feet South
of and parallel with the North line of said Block 12, a
distance of 60.01 feet; thence South 01025/09/1 East, on
the West line of Block 13 of said HIGHLAND PARK UNIT NO.
2, and the Southerly extension thereof, a distance of
276.97 feet; thence South 88034/51/1 West, on the Easterly
extension of the North line of Block 9 of said HIGHLAND
PARK UNIT NO. 2, and on the said North line, a distance
of 487.00 feet; thence North 01*2510911 West on the East
right-of-way of Ravenswood Road and on a line 23.00 feet
East of and parallel with the West line of said Block 12,
a distance of 50.00 feet; thence North 88034/51/1 East, on
the South line of said Block 12, a distance of 412.00
feet to a point of curve; thence Northeasterly on the

of Beginning. Said lands situate, lying and being in the
City of Dania, Broward County, Florida and containing
