UNDER SHERIFFS' OFFICES & LOCAL GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA COOPERATIVE BID NO. 97-05-0915, WITHOUT COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND WITHOUT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS; PROVIDING THAT ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Dania, Part III, Article 3, Section 4, i Subsection (J), authorizes the city manager to purchase supplies, services, equipment and materials for the city government in amounts in excess of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) without competitive bidding and without advertisement for bids if he is authorized to do so in advance by a resolution adopted by the city commission and if such purchases are made pursuant to a competitive bid obtained within the last twelve (12) months by other governmental agencies such as the Federal Government, State of Florida or a Florida county or municipality; and WHEREAS, the city manager has determined that it is necessary to purchase One 1998 Ford F-250 % Ton Pickup Truck in the amount of $24,741; One 1998 Ford F-350 1 Ton Pickup Truck in the amount of $25,739; and two 1998 Ford F-350 1 Ton Pickup Trucks with 15,000 GVW option in the amount of$29,134 per vehicle; and WHEREAS, the city manager has determined that such purchase can be made at the least cost to the city by purchasing said vehicles from Don Reid Ford, Inc. for the total amount of $108,748.00 under Sheriffs' Offices & Local Governmental Agencies 1 RESOLUTION NO. 26-98 taw' 1 of the State of Florida Cooperative Bid No. 97-05-0915, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A". NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the city manager be and he is hereby authorized to pay the sum of $54,873.00 from the general fund budget, the sum of $24,741 from the water fund budget and the sum of$29,134 from the stormwater fund budget to Don Reid Ford, i Inc., P.O.
