JELL MAYOR-COMMISSIONER ATT 1 CITY CLERK-AU OR APPR JED AS O F RM AND CORRECTNESS: CITYATTgPNEY RESOLUTION NO. 116-98 CITY OF DANIA I, 1 MEMORANDUM FINANCE DIRECTORXITY CLERK TO: Mayor, Commissioners and City Manager FROM: Marie Jabalee, Finance Director/City Clerk RE: Appointment of Deputy Clerk DATE: August 5, 1998 I'm requesting that the City Commission approve my nomination of Charlene Saltalamacchia as Deputy City Clerk. The duties presently assigned to Charlene; agenda preparation, minutes, maintaining a record data base, assisting with municipal elections etc., are those duties that normally would be fulfilled by a deputy clerk. In addition to the current duties, as deputy clerk she would be available to act as clerk in my absence, such as vacation time or attendance at meetings. This position has not been filled since 1995 and the appointment would greatly enhance the operation of the department. i The appointment represents a reclassification of the existing position of Administrative Assistant with a 10% salary increase, approximately $3,100 per year. Ms. Saltalamacchia is working towards certification as a municipal clerk. She is currently attending B.C.C. and will attend a week-long session of the Municipal Clerk's Institute in November. _. f f E f ' t F 1 t f 4 x ~ 1 4 4 t a+ II r f }1}1FF Y { 5 l 1 a rs 44 a a , + t n I x pp vArx7A
