GSA CONTRACT PRICE IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,259.40 WITHOUT COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND WITHOUT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS; PROVIDING THAT ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA; WHEREAS, THE City Manager has determined that is it necessary to purchase one Toro Infield Pro 5000 Landscaping Machine from Hector Turf, 1301 Nw 3 Street, Deerfield Beach, Florida 33442, under Century Equipment Inc. GSA Contract price in the amount of$8,259.40 for use by the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that such purchase can be made at the least cost to the city by purchasing said equipment under a GSA Contract with other governmental agencies in the amount of$8,259.40. Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to pay from the General Fund, the sum of$8,259.40 to Hector Turf, 1301 NW 3 Street, Deerfield Beach, Florida 33442, under Century Equipment Inc. GSA Contract for the purchase of one Toro Infield Pro 5000 Landscaping Machine. Section 2. That this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. AT THE PRESENT WE WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE USE OF THE MACHINE WE HAVE AND 1 AM PROPOSING WE USE CURRENT FUNDS AVAILABLE IN THIS YEARS BUDGET TO PURCHASE A TORO INFIELD PRO 5000, WHICH IS CURRENTLY IN USE BY SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES AND BROWARD COUNTY. THIS WILL GREATLY ENHANCE OUR CAPABILITIES AND HELP OUR CREWS FUNCTION AS NEEDED. WE CAN PURCHASE THIS PIECE OF EQUIPMENT FROM CENTURY EQUIPMENT OFF OF A GSA CONTRACT AS HOLLYWOOD AND OTHERS HAVE FOR A PRICE 58259.40.
