HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-1999-022�. r F r �' f :. �� s r _r t' ORDINANCE NO. 22-99 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO THE SUBJECT OF ZONING; AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA BY ALLOWING VINYL SIGN FABRICATION AND SIGN PRINTING SHOPS AS NEW SPECIAL EXCEPTION USES IN THE C-2 AND DB-2 ZONING DISTRICTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That Chapter 28, Zoning (Article 4, District Regulations, Section 4.20 and Article 19, Community Business, Section 19.2) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania Beach are amended by adding a new use to the C-2 and to the DB-2 District Regulations which shall read as follows: In the DB-2 District: (16) Vinyl sign fabrication and sign printing shops as a special exception use (excluding metal fabrication, sand blasting and spray painting processes); provided, however, that for any such use, the requirements of the Principal Arterial Commercial Design Standards Overlay ordinance (Sec. 6.64 of Chapter 28, "Zoning", of the City Code of Ordinances) must be met. In the C-2 District: (13) Vinyl sign fabrication and sign printing shops as a special exception use (excluding metal fabrication, sand blasting and spray painting processes); provided, however, that for any such use, the requirements of the Principal Arterial Commercial Design Standards Overlay ordinance (Sec. 6.64 of Chapter 28, 'Zoning", of the City Code of Ordinances) must be met. 1 ORDINANCE NO. 22.99 f i Chapter 28 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania Beach, Florida, as amend Section 2. That except as amended above, all other provisions of Articles 4 and 19 of shall remain in full force and effect. ed, Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 4. If any section, clause, sentence or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED on first reading on September 15, 1999.
