ANSBRO CITY ATTORNEY 2 ORDINANCE NO.03-99 r- f L .' T r I I MEMORANDUM TO: Michael W. Smith, City Manager FROM: Terry L. Virta, AICP Growth Management Director RE: Parking Standards Ordinance Date: January 19, 1999 Attached is a copy of an amendment to the parking standards found in the zoning ordinance. It changes the standard for charter and sightseeing boats from one space for each four persons to one space for each two persons. It also adds to the listing gambling boat and applies the standard of one space for each two persons. This standard was arrived at through consultation with staff from the City of Hollywood who have benefited from having a gambling boat parked in their community. The Planning and Zoning Board recommends that you approve this amendment to the parking standards found in the zoning ordinance. The Board asked that staff make certain changes to the draft ordinance. City Attorney Ansbro cautioned that it would be safer to adopt and subsequently amend the regulation. To that end staff is planning on having a revised Ordinance to the Planning and Zoning Board for their review at their February Meeting. Staff recommends that the City Commission adopt this Ordinance on Second Reading. cmmemogamwan ex f r— r 7 r M I THE MIAMI HERALD A Knight Ridder Newspaper Published Daily MIAMI, FLORIDA STATE OF FLORIDA COUNTY OF DADE Before the undersigned authority personally appeared: Matthew Fine who on oath that he is ADVERTISING SALES MANAGER of The Miami Herald, a daily newspaper published at Miami in Dade County, Florida; that the advertisement for City of Dania was published in said newspaper in the issues of: The Herald, Broward Local News, January 18, 1999 on Pg. 7g" Afflant further says that the said Miami Herald is a newspaper published at Miami, In the said,Dade Coun , Florida, and that the said newspaper has hereto#ore been continuously publis in said Dade County, Florida, each day and has been enter as second ss mail matter at the post office in Miami, in said Dade Co n fir, Florida, a period of one year next preceding the first publication of the led, o of d4ertlsement. !y lh/' Mathew Fine l Lr () A jSworn to and subscribed before me xNOTARTFOFFL10'CO . dIDA P CC.i{96-L3 this Sth day of January 'APR.71Z0M A.D. 1999.
