T' _� �� ,� i �� - = _. s r b ' RESOLUTION NO. 173-99 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, SETTING FEES FOR THE TRANSPORT OF PATIENTS TO LOCAL HOSPITALS BY THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH FIRE- RESCUE DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING THAT ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the following fee schedules for the transport of patients to local hospitals by the City of Dania Beach Fire-Rescue Department be and the same are hereby approved: FEES FOR ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT TRANSPORT O $300.00 plus $25.00 for oxygen plus $7.00 per mile FEES FOR BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRANSPORT $300.00 plus $25.00 for oxygen plus $7.00 per mile Section 2. That this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED this 24T"day of Augus 4 99. The fees are structured \N' and set forth therein to meet coverage requirements of health care providers and are the maximum allowable currently accepted by Medicare and Medicaid. As always, at the request of our city commissioners, we will continue our policy of non-aggression in pursuing payment of any monies not covered by insurance coverage for citizens of Dania Beach. Also attached for your further information is schedule of fees charged by other agencies in Broward County. If you have any questions relating to the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.
