PARKER COMMUNITY CENTER" ; PROVIDING THAT ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Dania has determined that it is appropriate to levy fees for the use of certain city facilities and/or services provided; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . That the fees and charges related to the use of the "I .T. Parker Community Center" be and the same are hereby established in accordance with the fee schedule described in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 2. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict . Section 3. That this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. SCHEDULING OF SCHOOL EVENTS REQUESTED BY THE PRINCIPALS OR PRESIDENTS OF THE P.T.O. OF SCHOOLS LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY MUST BE APPROVED AND CO-ORDINATED THROUGH THE ONE IN CHARGE OF THE RECREATION DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY. NOTES: MEETINGS: Due to scheduling, requests for meeting rooms must state the number of hours needed up to a maximum of four. In the event that there is no meeting scheduled to immediately follow another in that particular room, time may be extended to one half hour prior to the next scheduled meeting. In the event that time is extended, a fee of $10 per hour or portion thereof over the four hour limit will be charged. SOCIAL EVENTS: Due to scheduling, requests for rooms for social events must state the number of hours needed up to a maximum of five. In the event that there is no event scheduled to immediately follow another in that particular room, time may be extended to one hour prior to the next scheduled event. If time is extended, a fee of $25 for each additional hour or a portion thereof over the five hour limit will be charged for small social events and $50 per hour for each additional hour or a portion thereof for large social events. (Resident senior citizens ' groups and city employee groups and organizations will be charged $15 for each additional hour or portion thereof over the five hour limit for small social events and $25 for each additional hour or portion of for large social events) . J EXHIBIT "A" GENERAL INFORMATION Initial requests for meetings past the four hour time limit will be charged based on each four hours or portion thereof . All meetings and social events must be scheduled through the civic center coordinator on a first come first serve basis. All events may be scheduled any day of the week between the hours of 8 a .m. through 9 p.m. with no event to extend past 2 a.m. A 50% NON—REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME A RESERVATION IS REQUESTED. SECURITY DEPOSITS: All deposits are refundable in whole or in part , which shall be determined and approved by the Community Center Coordinator.
