RESOLUTION NO. 59-87
1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
i REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY
AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO INCLUDE
THE CITY OF DANIA'S APPLICATION AMONG THOSE
REQUESTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ACT
ASSISTANCE FUND PROGRAM FOR THE 1987-1988
PROGRAM YEAR; AND PROVIDING THAT ALL
RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT
OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN i
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida ,
has recognized a need to provide for orderly growth and management i
as contemplated by the passage of the Florida Local Government
Comprehensive Planning Act; and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida has recognized a need to assist
1 local governments in meeting the requirements of the Act; and
WHEREAS , the Florida Legislature has charged the Department
of Community Affairs with administering the Local Government
Comprehensive Planning Assistance Fund Program.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:

Section 1 . That the City Commission of the City of Dania,
Florida, requests the Department of Community Affairs to include
the application of the City of Dania, Florida, among those
requesting financial assistance from the Local Government
1 Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance Fund Program for the

1987-1988 year.
Section 2. That the City Commission of the City of Dania,
Florida, does hereby indicate its commitment to comply with the
i
appropriate and applicable state and local laws, rules and
regulations for the administration of this program, which are more
fully described in Chapter 9J-5, Florida Administrative Code.
Section 3 . That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the

extent of such conflict.

Section 4. That this resolution shall be in force and take

i effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
