Home My WebLink AboutR-1986-039 E 1 RESOLUTION NO . 39-36 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, RATIFYING A REAPPORTIONMENT PLAN FOR THE BROWARD COUNTY METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSMITTAL OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE BROWARD COUNTY METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION. WHEREAS , Section 339 . 175 , Florida Statutes , provides for a five year review by the Governor of the membership of a Metropolitan i Planning organization , and a reapportionment of that reorganization , if i necessary; and WHEREAS , the Governor has asked the Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization to recommend a plan for reapportionment ; and WHEREAS , the Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization has voted to approve the Reapportionment Plan set forth in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof ; and WHEREAS , Section 339. 175 , Florida Statutes , 49 U .S .C . § 1607 and 23 U . S .0 § 134 , require that the designation of a Metropolitan Planning Organization shall be based upon an agreement between the affected units of local government and the Governor ; and WHEREAS , the City of Dania wishes to manifest , formally , by resolution , its ratification of the reapportionment plan outlined in Exhibit "A" ; NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF DANIA , FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS : Section 1 . The City of Dania hereby ratifies and agrees to the Reapportionment Plan for the Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization , which is outlined in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Section 2 . The Dania City Commission hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager to forward this Resolution signed by Mayor John Bertino and sealed with the official seal of the City of Dania to the Chairperson for the Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization , for submission to the Governor.
