Home My WebLink AboutR-1986-007 i i RESOLUTION NO. 07-86 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES, SERVICES, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS IN THE AMOUNT OF $4 ,250 .00 WITHOUT COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND WITHOUT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS; AND PROVIDING THAT ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Charter of. the City of Dania , Part III , Article 3 , Section 4 , Subsection (J) , authorizes the City Manager to i purchase supplies, services , equipment and materials for the City Government in an amount up to and including $10 ,000 .00 without competitive bidding and without advertisement for bids , if he is authorized to do so in advance by a resolution adopted by the City Commission; and WHEREAS , the City Manager has determined that it is necessary to supply and install a Marley Cooling Tower Model #4730 at the City Administration Center; and WHEREAS , the City Manager has determined that such work can be done at the least cost to the city by accepting the proposal of JIM & DICK 'S AIR CONDITIONING INC. , a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to contract with JIM & DICK ' S AIR CONDITIONING INC. , 5623 Dewey Street , Hollywood, Florida 33023 , to supply and install a Marley Cooling Tower Model #4730 at the City Administration Center as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, with said contract to be made without competitive biddinq and without advertisement for bids . Section 2 . THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to pay from the General Fund to JIM & DICK 'S AIR CONDITIONING INC. , the sum of Four Thousand, Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($4 ,250 .00 ) upon the satisfactory completion of said work. Resolution No. 07-86 Section 3 . THAT all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict . Section 4 . THAT this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
