RESOLUTION NO. 42-84

i A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FILING DATES AND
PROVIDING FOR THE CALLING AND HOLDING OF A
PRIMARY ELECTION IN THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 1985, FOR THE PURPOSE
OF NOMINATING CITY COMMISSIONERS TO BE VOTED
UPON AT THE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
TUESDAY, MARCH 12, 1985, AND REPEALING ALL
RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS RESOLUTION i
SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE AS OF THE DATE OF ITS
PASSAGE AND ADOPTION.

WHEREAS, by referendum election the City of Dania has

authorized a primary election to determine a slate of candidates for

election to municipal office; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA,
FLORIDA :

Section 1 Candidates for office of the City Commission of
{ the City of Dania for the vacancies occurring in office pursuant to the '
charter of the City a of Dania, shall file such. papers and pay such fees
as may be required with the City Clerk of the City of Dania no earlier

than noon on the second day of January nor later than noon on the 16th
i
day of January, 1985 .
Section 2 That a primary election relating to such municipal
,,,.. offices shall be held in the City of Dania on Tuesday, February 12,
1985, and a general election relating to the municipal offices shall be
held in the City of Dania in Broward County on Tuesday, March 12, 1985.
Section 3 That all resolutions or parts of resolutions, in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict .
Section 4 This resolution shaLL take effect immediately upon
its passage and adoption .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this llth day of December 1984.
