BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA; Section 1. That that certain proposal of Coastal Systems International, Inc. for Engineering Services related to the refurbishment of bridge at NW 1st Street and the C- 10 Canal dated July 22, 1996, for an estimated amount of $21,500.00 (Twenty -One Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100 Dollars, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A", be and the same is hereby approved and the appropriate city officials are hereby directed to execute same. Section 2.. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 3.. That this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. One (1) standard penetration test will also be performed to evaluate subsurface so1T conditions for driving ofnew concrete piling. Coastal Systems will prepare construction plans including all details of proposed reconstruction of the bridge. An engineers construction cost estimate will be provided to the City. Coastal Systems will prepare general technical provisions for construction of the project. The technical provisions will include the sumnaty ofwork, mommmm design requirements, construction materials, and utility construction. The plans and specifications will be incorporated along with the general provisions for advertising and award of contract by the City. Coastal Systems will review the contractor's periodic pay requests and make recommendation to the City for payment. Coastal. The owner shallmake paymptt to Coastal Systems upon receipt of an invoice. Invoices not paid within thirty (30) days and not in dispute shall incur interest at a rate of I.5 percent per month. The Owner agrees to pay any cost o€coltec6= including re3waable attomey's fees incurred whether or not a suit is commenced or an appeal is taken. .
