SPECIAL MEETING
DANIA CITY COMMISSION
JUNE 16, 1982
Present:
Mayor: John Bertino
Vice Mayor: Chester A. Byrd
Commissioners: Jean Cook
James Adams
Robert Donly
City Attorney: Frank Adler
City Manager: Richard Marant
City Clerk: Wanda Mullikin
1. Award of bid on surplus equipment.
City Manager Marant recommended that the bid be awarded to the
following:
1) 1977 Pontiac 4-door- $104.00- Mac's Towing
2) 1976 Chevy 4-door- $111.00 Mac's Towing
3) 1979 Dodge Aspen- $352.00 Mac's Towing
4) 1979 Dodge Aspen- $352.00 Mac's Towing
5) 6 foot bush hog- $235.00 Mac's Towing
6) 24 foot Wellcraft Boat-$2,500.00 - Mr. Robert Marshall
A motion was made by Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Adams
to accept the recommendation from the City Manager and award the bids
as listed above.
The motion passed on the following roll call vote:
Commissioner Adams-yes Commissioner Donly-yes
Commissioner Byrd-yes Mayor Bertino-yes
Commissioner Cook-yes
2. Award of bid for Soft-serve Ice Cream Machine.
City Manager Marant recommended that the bid for the Soft-serve Ice Cream
Machine be awarded to Product-Trol , Inc. , for one (1) Electro-Freeze
Model N88TF by H.C. Duke & Son, Inc. in the amount of $8,500.00. Mr. Marant
added that Edwards Equipment's bid did not meet the City's specifications.
A motion was made by Commissioner Donly, seconded by Commissioner Adams
to award the bid for the Soft-serve Ice Cream Machine to Product-Trot Inc. ,
in the amount of $8,500.00.
The motion passed on the following roll call vote:
Commissioner Adams-yes Commissioner Donly-yes
Commissioner Byrd-yes Mayor Bertino-yes
Commissioner Cook-yes
A motion was made by Commissioner Cook, sec nd d by issioner Byrd

It is my, recommendation that bids on surplus equipment be awarded to the
highest bidders as follows:

DATE: June 14, 1982
After tabulating the bids for one (1) soft-serve ice cream machine, it is my
recommendation that.the bid be awarded to H.C. Duke & Son, Inc. for one (1)
Electra Freeze, Model #88TF in 'the amount of $8,500.
Edwards Equipment's bid is $8,459.16 for a Taylor Freezer, Model #754, but
this machine does not meet out specifications.
