Byrd Commissioner: James Adams City Attorney: Frank Adler City Manager: Richard Marant Absent: Commissioners: Jean Cook Robert Donly 1. Discussion of ordinance regarding coin-operated machines: City Attorney Adler informed the Commission that he has prepared a draft ordinance from information obtained from a Hollywood ordinance concerning coin-operated machines and requested review of this ordinance for any deletions and additions. Discussion then followed concerning restrictions that would be added to the ordinance and whether or not this ordinance would be upheld by the Commission or directed to the Code Enforcement Board through imposing Special Exception re- quests or revoking Occupational Licenses if this ordinance is violated. The Commission then decided that this item would be placed on the agenda for the regular meeting of August 24th for further discussion and possible adoption. 2. Discussion of ordinance regarding beach,,parking permit fees and parking fines: The Commission reviewed the proposed ordinance concerning parking permit fees and parking fines at the beach. Discussion followed concerning the'amounts to charge senior citizens, residents and non-residents of Dania, and disabled persons for beach stickers. The Commission then decided to discuss this ordinance further at the regular meeting of August 24th, 1982. City Manager Marant urged the Commissioners to be present on Friday morning at 9:30 A.M. at the beach to observe a demonstra- tion of a beach cleaning machine. A motion was made by Commissioner Adams, seconded b ommissioner Byrd to adjourn this meeting. The motion pas ed n imously.
