DANIA CITY COMMISSION
WORKSHOP MEETING
APRIL 20, 1983
ROLL CALL:
Present:
Mayor: Chester A. Byrd
Vice Mayor: John Bertino
Commissioners: Jean Cook
James Adams
Robert Donly
1. Discussion of general employees wage and benefit plan and
Department Head compensation plan.
Carol Long from Long Associates was present to discuss the
Executive Compensation plan for department heads with the
Commission. Mrs. Long explained that due to some of the
department heads performing dual roles this had to be
taken into account when preparing her comparison survey
with other cities in the vacinity.
Discussion followed concerning extra compensation in areas
other than salary increases.for department heads.
The Commission then discussed an Extension of Benefits Plan for
those employees not covered under the General Employee's Contract.
