SPECIAL MEETING
JULY 6, 1983
ROLL CALL:

City Manager: Richard Marant
City Clerk: Wanda Mullikin
1 . Adoption of Resolution accepting Broward County's offer to settle
the road and bridge tax lawsuit
City Manager Marant presented Broward County's settlement offer,
which was recommended as fair and equitable by Paul J. McDonough,
Attorney for the City of Coral Springs. City Manager Marant
suggested acceptance of the offer thereby ending the City's lawsuit.
City Attorney Adler read the Resolution approving the settlement
agreement between the City and Broward County in the action
entitled City of Coral Springs, et al, vs. Broward County, Case
No. 82-19933-CA.
A motion was made by Commissioner.Cook, seconded by Commissioner
Adams to adopt the Resolution accepting Broward County's offer to
settle the road and bridge tax lawsuit and directing the City of
Dania to reimburse the City of Coral Springs for costs and expenses
due.
After discussion, the motion was passed on the following roll call
vote:
Commissioner Adams-yes Vice-Mayor Bertino-no
Commissioner Cook-yes Mayor Byrd-yes
Commissioner Donly-yes
A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting. The motion
passed unanimously.
