WORKSHOP MEETING
AUGUST 31 , 1983

David Graham, heading the marine conversion project
at Houston Park, was also in attendance.
1 . Discussion of status of Houston Park development and proposed

timetable of commencement and completion of construction.
David Graham reviewed the status of the marine conversion
. project at Houston Park with the Commission.
A development schedule (attached) was discussed and generally
agreed upon.
The Workshop meeting was then adjourned.

1. August 18, 1983 Application for DRI approval with
South Florida Regional Planning Council completed and
filed.
2. Septen-ber 13, 1983 City Commission Meeting;
a) Approve acknowledgment of extension of time
periods in Houston Park lease relative to project permits
to January 1, 1984.
b) Approve advertising of Notice of Public Hearing
Hearing to be held 60 days from publication of Notice.
3. September 15, 1983 Commence re-zoning process on Houston
Park restaurant facility.
4. September 15, 1983 Application for demolition permit
regarding abandoned sewer facility.
5. October 1, 1983 Commence demolition of sewer plant and
j, adjacent building.
6. October 3, 1983 South Florida Regional. Planning Council
final approval of DRI.
07 November 15, 1983 City of Dania public hearing work order
pursuant to DRI approval.
8. November 15, 1983 Conplete re-zoning of Houston Park restaurant
facility.
9. November 15, 1983 Record plat and pay inpact fee.
10. • December 1, 1983 Post bond with City of Dania, submit final
plans for excavation, seawall construction, grading, drainage,
paving and utilities. Obtain permit to commence construction.
{: 11. December 5, 1983 Commence excavation, grading and.paving.
12. March 1, 1984 Final plans and specifications on Civic Center
for City approval.
13. September 5, 1984 Completion of new yacht basin, seawalls,
grading, paving and utilities. .
14. September 5, 1984 Obtain building pernits and commence construction
of Civic Center.
15. March, 1985 Completion of dedication of Civic Center.
