Byrd Commissioners: Jean Cook James Adams Robert Donly City Attorney: Frank Adler City Manager: Richard Marant City Clerk: Wanda Mullikin Absent: Vice-Mayor: John Bertino 1 . Possible action on ratifying of P.B.A. contract The contract for the P:B.A. -is to be placed on the agenda for discussion and possible action at the next Regular Commission Meeting of October 11 , 1983. 2. Possible action on ratifying of I.A.F.F. contract No action taken regarding the Fire Department contract at this time. 3. Discussion and possible action on proposal from Broward County concerning Social Services in the Boisy Waiters Center During discussion, it was determined .that the Boisy. Waiters Lease Agreement between Broward County and the City of Dania a) which was for a term of one year due to the County's budgetary restrictions, and b) which stipulated that .the County would provide to Dania the.same level of services as that being provided everywhere else in Broward County expires on September 30, 1983. The County is not.renewing the lease agreement and proposes to operate emergency referral social services at the Boisy Waiters Center at a cost to the City of Dania of approximately $7,000.00 for maintenance of the facility. A motion .was made by Commissioner Adams, seconded by Commissioner Cook to accept the proposal from Broward County regarding main- taining the Social Services in Dania at the Boisy Waiters Center. The motion passed on the following roll call vote: Commissioner Adams-yes Vice-Mayor Bertino-absent Commissioner Cook-yes Mayor Byrd-yes Commissioner Donly-yes The Special Meeting was then adjourned.
