WORKSHOP MEETING
APRIL 30, 1984

Mayor Byrd was excused from this meeting due to hospital
confinement.
Discussion of Budget Revisions for the General Fun 'Water Fun
and Sewer Fund.
The workshop meeting was called to order by Vice-Mayor Bertino.
City Manager Marant presented the proposed revisions to the '
1983/84 General Fund budget, explaining that the. revised
expenditures reflected a 5% pay increase for all department heads,
supervisors and personnel not covered by `contract.
The Enterprise Funds (Pier, Water and Sewer) were then discussed.
City Manager Marant stated that the proposed revision to the
1983/84 Water Fund budget regarding revenue is predicated on a
water rate increase to be effective April, '84, to avoid a deficit
at the end of the fiscal year and to facilitate repair of leaks.
The revised 1983/84 Sewer Fund budget also reflected an increase
'in sewer rates.
During discussion, City Manager Marant was asked to check the
amount of water pumped against the amount of water billed to
determine how much water is being lost because of line leakage.'
The Workshop meeting was then adjourned.
