Commissioner Tarpley: I have some here who say they asked for
assistance. They wrote down the reason why, but it is not a
physical disablement.
Commissioner Young: I don't think the city law says it must be
physical.
Commissioner Tarpley: Yes it does.
Attorney Walden: Actually, all you are doing here is to certify
the arithmetic as being correct.
Ft . Boisy Waiters: I would like to request a recount of the entire
city. From what he has seen and what I have seen I think it
constitutes a recount.
Attorney Walden: There is nothing the Council can do about that.
That is a judicial matter.
Commissioner Tarpley: I know of one case in particular where a
woman registered for the first time on September 29, but her name
was not entered on the registration books.
Boisy Waiters: There are people who are deceased whos names are
still on the records, but there are other people who registered
and their names are not on the records.

Attorney Waldent The City Commission has no right to hold
up the whole process while people say what may be the exact
truth or it may be based on what someone has told them. The
City Clerk says she has done it right and you are bounded to
take her word for it. If you feel that she is not stating
correctly, then law suits may be brought into this. But it
is a judicial function to determine these things.
Boisy Waiters: Attorney Walden, is it not true also that if
these numbers are certified then these will. go into the re-
cords as being the official election?
Attorney Walden: That is correct.
Commissioner Grammer: I want to change my motion.
A motion was made by Commissioner Grammer tbLeertify Messers
