I have received many telephone calls from people that are interest-
ed in this and perhaps it is wise to give as much publicity as poss-
ible so if you wish to publish it I have asked Mr. Cecil to be here
and pick up the ordinance and resolution so that it can appear in
• the paper this week. I recommend you advertise it once each week
for four 'consecutive weeks, although it is not required legally.
Mayor Hill: I think it dould be a good thing, because half the
people in Dania don't know about the election.
•
Attorney.Walden: So many people have asked me for copies of the
resolution and ordinance, and I am not eggipped to handle a volume
of copies. Mrs. Gates is getting requests, so is the office at
city hall. if you don't put it in the paper you will have to have
copies printed for the public.
City Manager Tubbs asked Mr. Cecil what would be the cost of print-
ing the ordinance and resolution?
• Mr. Cecil: I cannmt give you the exact amount, but we will give
you a fair price. It will be put in six point type.
A motion was made by Commissioner Tarpley that the ordinance and
resolution providing for a special referendum election for annex-
ation be published in the Dania Press once each week for four con-
• secutive weeks. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Grammer,
and the roll being called, the commisabners voted;as follows: .
Grammer Yes'
Tarpley Yes
Hill Yes
There being no further business; the meeting adjourned.
