Mayor Eby called for a recommendation from the Engineer on the
construction of sidewalks on N. E. Second Court, S. W. Fourth
Avenue and Dixie Highway.
Mr. Wally Schott, Engineer, recommended the contract be awarded
to Buzza Concrete Company.
Commissioner Houston stated that we have had a lot of sidewalks
constructed in the city in the last five years, and that in his
opinion the sidewalks recently constructed by Buzz& Concrete Co.
were the beat. One reason being that Mr. Buzza is a cement
finisher, and he personally stays on the job and sees that it
is done right. We also had the least trouble with his work. -
Mr. Schott stated that there was the least supervision on his
job than any they had supervised in the city.
A motion was made by Commissioner Tubbs that the contract for
sidewalks on N. E. Second Court, S. W. Fourth Avenue and Dixie
Highway, be awarded to Buzza Concrete Company as recommended '
by the Engineer; motion seconded by Commissioner McMillan, and
the roll being called, the following commissioners voted:

an adult recreation building, dance floor and restrooms from
the Architect.
Mr. Victor A. Larson, Architect, stated that he would like to
have a little more time to make a further investigation as to
the sub-contractors the low bidder will be using. It seems
that most of his sub-contractors are out of town, and if it is
possible, we would like to have him use Dania contractors.
A motion was made by Commissioner McMillan to table the awarding
