nation expires today and he was anxious to get away, and that
he would like to recommend the City pay him two weeks salary
as severance pay. He is willing to cooperate with us and make
inspections until we can fill the vacancy. I worked with him
last year when we did not have a City Manager, and he did not
take a vacation, only took time off several week-ends and I
think it would be only fair to do something for him.

Commissioner Houston advised the commission that Mr. Beaver,
on Dixie Highway, owner of the Beaver Apartments, would like
to put sidewalks along his property. The same situation exists
there as on the corner of Dixie Highway and 4th Avenue. If the
city will go along with him as they did Scarberry, believe we
can get Buzza to continue his contract and. put sidewalks in.
That will give us sidewalks along Second Avenue to 7th Street.
We could 'have him sign a release to the City. I believe we
could offer him something in return for the radius andfget
these sidewalks in.
It was agreed by all commissioners to see what could be worked
out with Mr. Beaver and continue Buzze' s contract.
There being no further business, on motion and voted, the
meeting adjourned.
