FLORIDA, held dctober 8, 1958.
The City Commission of the City of Dania, Florida met in Special
Session in the Commission Room at the City Hall.
PRESENT WERE: MAYOR COMMISSIONER FRANK E, EBY
COMMISSIONERS E. B. ELKINS
ROBERT E. HOUSTON
CITY ATTORNEY CLARKE WALDEN
CITY CLERK MARY THORNHILL
' Meeting .called to order at 12:00 Noon by Mayor Eby.
Mayor Eby called for recommendation from Peter H. Broome on
bid for the construction of a seawall at the 30 Acre Park,
Mr. Broome recommended the contract be awarded to Lyon*Troupe,
the lowest bidder.
A motion was made by Commissioner Houston that the recommendation
of the Engineer be accepted, and the contract awarded to Lyon-
Troupe the lowest and best bidder, bid being in the amount of
$13,396.57, with the provision that a decision on Item 3 Of
the contract as soon as possible; motion seconded by Commissioner
Elkins, and the roll being called, the following commissioners
voted:
Elkins Yes
Houston Yes
Eby Yes
Mayor Eby called for recommendation for the construction of
S. W. 12th Avenue (22nd Avenue) , from Mr. Lifka, Assistant
Engineer, City of Hollywood.
Mr. Lifka recommended that the contract be awarded to DiMar
Paving Company, low bidder.
A motion was made by Commissioner Elkins that the recommendation-
for the construction of S. W. 12th Avenue, (22nd Avenue) as
made by Mr. Lifka, bid being in the amount of $15,568.00, be
accepted; motion seconded by Commissioner Houston, and the roll
being called, the following commissioners voted:
Elkins Yes
Houston Yes
Eby Yes
A motion was made by Commissioner Houston authorizing the City
Clerk to advertise for objections to the Assessment List cover-
ing the construction of N. W. Second Street and N. W. llth Avenue,
for November 3, 1958; motion seconded by Commissioner Elkins,
and the roll being called, the following commissioners voted:
Elkins Yes
Houston Yes
Eby Yes
There being no further business, on motion and voted, the meet-
ing adjourned.
