The follo:ving were present: .1rtYiur C. O 'Hea, Llayor John 3. Gregory, Counci.lm.,"n T.R.Brown, Councilman I'.L.I?eville, Councilman Councilmen O. S.Peck and J.1,i.Holding were absent from the City. The follo':aing also :rerc presdnt: ' Raymond T. Skinner, City Clerk T.D.Ellis, Jr. ,City Lttorney. Liayor O 'Hea called the meeting to order. L:inutes of the meetings held on February 7, 10; I: arch 5, 6, 9 , 16, 17, 26; &pril 2 , 3, 12 , 26; May 1, 4, 4, 7, and 14 were s:pproved. Charles H. Lindfors, public accountant submitted his ,:audit of the books of the City of Dania as of Dec. 31, 1928. Councilman Neville made -, motion that the repott be accepted and that 11r. lindfors be. employed to make a monthly audit of the books of the Cite of Dania to iridkud; sn annual audit at salary of �360.00 per year. The motion :aas seconded by Co*6&lman Brown' and upon being nut to e veto of the council was' un nimously &gOpted. Councilman Brown made F motion that a committee of council be appointed to with authority to proceed with street repairs. The motion was seconded by Councilman Neville and unanimously adopted. Mayor O 'Hea thereupon appointed aCouncilmeA Brow *and Beville as a committee to determine what •_ street work should be done and authorize the City manager to have the work dnffins carried out. The City Clerk read the following letter dated Lacy 4, 1928: Hon. Llayor and City GIDtincil, Dania .Fla. Gentlemen: Owing to the fact that I expect to be absent from the City several months this summer and appreciating the fact that it will be necessary to have a: quorum present for the council meetings, I herewith tender my resignation to take effectaat your pleasures Signed O. S.?eck Councilman Brown made a motion that Councilman's Peck's resignation be accepted e,Ath regret. The motion vies seconded by Councilman Neville I nd upon being put to a vote of the council was carried unanimously. L:ayor O 'Hea then declared the meeting open for nominations for the p4itfo-n of councilman to succeed Lir. Peok. Councilman Ideville nominated L'.r. E.E.L?ason to fill the vacnney left by l.1r. Peck. The nomination was seconded by Councilman 'Brown. There being no other nominations the mayor called for vote upon the question. The CouncilmE voted as follows: Councilmen Brown, "tiye Councilmen Neville, Lye Councilman Gregory, .:.ye Those voting Nay, Bone '.:al-o-r O 'Hea thereupon announced that' Lir. F.3.Id son, having been sent for, arrived cnd was gtxnnzth administered the oath of office of Councilmen of the City of Dania, Vla. by T.D.Bilis, Jr. , Ilotvey public for the State of Vlorida. The City Clerk then read the follov:ing letter dated Mey 14, 1928: Hon. Lieyor and City Cluncil, Oity of. D-, nia, Fla. Gentlemen: Owing to the fact that I e:cuect to be absent from the city during the greater part of the summer end realizing the necessity of hz=ving a quorum present during this time, I herewith tender you my resignation to take effect at your •.rill. Signed John B. Gregory Councilman 3rown medc a motion thet the resignation of Councilmar Gregory be accepted with regret. The motion was seconded by Councilman ITeville and unanimously c=ied. L'ayor O 'Hea then declared the meeting open for nominations for the office of councilman to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of John B. Creu-ory. Councilman Brown rominzsted Edgar Pyle. The nominetior_ was seconded by Councilman Neville. There. being no futther nominations, I.Iayor O 'Hea called for a vote on the matsan nomination. The fotuicil voted as follow: Councl.ln.:n 'Lrown, Lye Councilman Neville, :'�,ye Cozuzcilmz n .Iason, Aye Those voting Nz:y, None. ';!hereupon I,iayor O 'Hez.: deolared Edgar I.I. Pyle elected to the vacancy left by the resignation of John B. Gregory. Councilman ITeville made a motion to -adjourn. The motion was seconded by Councilman Llason and unanimously carried.
