IN THE CITY BALL A. meeting g of the city oouncil of the pity of Dania Florida was held Friday November 23rd A.D.1928 at 7:30 P.M.in the city hall pursuant to " adjournment of the meeting held Friday November 16th, 1926. The following y ' were present: James A. Boehm, Mayor 1.E.E1lis, Councilman J.M.Holding, Councilman A,R.Lindeley, Councilman F.L.Neville, Councilman Councilman John B. Gregory was absent from the meeting. The following also were present: R. T. Skinner, City Clerk T.D.Ellis Jr. , City Attorney, Mayor Boehm called the meeting to order. The minutes of the meeting held November 16, 1928 were read and approvd Councilman Holding made a motion that the salary of the City Clerk be 140 per month. The motion was seconded by Councilman Ellis and unanimously carried. Councilman Zindeley made a motion that the salary of the tax collector be fixed at �500.00 per year. The motion was seconded by Counoilman Ellis and unanimously carried. Councilman Holding made a motion that R.T.Skirnner be appointed chief of the fire department at a salary of V100POO per month and that he receive 425.00 per month for performing such other duties as council may persoribe. The motion was seconded by Councilman Ellis and unanimously carried. Councilman Ellis made a motion that the salary of the. Chief of Police be fixed at 0125,00 per month, that the Chief of Police also be foreman of the street department and perform such other duties as council may persoribe. The motion vras seconded by Councilman Holding and unanimously carried. Councilman Holding made a motion that the night policeman receive a salary of �120.00 per month. The motion was seconded by Councilman Ellis and unanimously carried. Councilman Neville made a motion that the city fireman receive a salary of $100.00 per month and perform such duties as council shall persoribe. The motion was seconded by Councilman Lindsley and unanimously carried. Councilman Lindsley made a motion that the salary of the city attorney be eliminated and that the resolution employing a city attorney be rescinded as of Nov.30, 1928.Counoilman Ellis seconded the motion which was carried. Councilman Holding made a motion that Sidney Mulliken be employed as city fireman at a salary of %00.00 per month. The motion was seconded by Councilman Neville and carried unanimously. Councilman Holding made a motion that I. T.Parker be appointed as city treasurer and that the following bonds be given by City employees: Treasurer, �3.000.00; Tax Collector,*54000.00; C1erk,S3,000.00 and Chief of Police,�1.000.00. The motion visa seconded by Councilman Neville and unanimously carried. Councilman Holding made a motion that the collection of water rents be strictly enforced. The motion was seconded by Councilman Lindsley and unanimously carried. Counoilman Lindsley made a motion that the clerk notify all lot owners along the Dixie Highway to clean their 16ts according to the city ordinanoee The motion was seconded by Cotuicilman Holding and unanimously carried.
