MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DANIA VLORIDA:
HELD TUESDAY JULY 2ND A.D.1929 AT 8 P.M. IN THE CITY HALL
The regular monthly meeting of the City Council of the City of Dania
" Florida was held Tuesday July 2, A..D.1929 at 8 P.M.in the City Hall. The
following were present:
James A. Boehm, Mayor
J.M.Holding, Councilman
F.L.Neville, Councilman
L.T.Ellis, Councilman
Councilmen John B. Gregory and A.R.Lindsley were absent from the city.
The following also were present:
R.T.Skinner, City Clerk
Mayor Boehm called the meeting to order.
The minutes of the meeting held Tuesday June 4, A.D.1929 were read
and approved.
A delegation of property owners residing in sections 4, 33 and 28
apgaared before the council and discussed ways and means of having this
territory disannexed from the city. Members of the council were of the
opinion that if this territory could be excluded from the city legally that
it should be done. The oommpttee headed by John Bryan proposed to work out
a plan and submit it at a later meeting.
Councilman Ellie made a motion that A..Y.B.Bailay, owner of tax
certificates on Dania property be authorized to collect his own redemptions.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Holding and unanimously carried.
Councilman Holding made a motion that the Mayor and. City Clerk be
authorized to renew a note in the sum of $5,000.00 held by the Dania Bank
& Trust company as of June 30, 1929. The motion was:;seoonded by councilman
Ellis and unanimously carried.%

Councilman Neville made a motion to pay the bills. The motion was seconded
by Councilman Ellis and unanimously carried.

Councilman Neville made a motion to adjourn which was seconded by
Councilman Holding and unanimously carried.
