Councilman Frost reported that he had talked with Mr. N. S.
Emery, Division Engineer of the State Ror-.d Dent. , and that Mr. Emery said
the State Road Dept, needed five feet on the north side of the Dania Beach
;r Road from the Dania Beach Hotel to the corner, or else the new road would
take up the sidev;alk, He reported that if the property owners would give
five feet of their property, they would put in a sidewalk and curb from y
first ave. , east, however, the five feet mould be required in any event. f
The City Manager was to check with Mr. Emery =mi notify the uroperty owners
t to determine if they would give their property for this _.urnose.

The City Manager reported every possible precaution was being � r�
III taken to prevent polio, such as spraying of garbage cans, etc. and that
!l it would probably be a good idea to make some provision to have Dania Z
sprayed with DDT. Councilman Frost moved that Capt. Burch, Commanding tl

town with DDT by the Navy Dept; seconded by Councilman 'Parkhurst and car- I71
