Meeting called to order by 1v;ayor Brooke at 7:30 p.m.
Minutes of meeting held April 1, read, approved as read
and ordered adopted.
After discussion of fire brealc east of FEC railway, from
SVI 3rd St. to Dania Yloodlawn uemecery, the City Manager was author-
ized to contact parties who operated bulldozers and obtain bids for
this work.
A resolution was read adopting daylight saving time April
28, in conformity with Hollywood and Ft. Lauderdale. Councilman La-
Bree moved that resolution be passed and adopted as read; seconded
by Councilman frost and carried.
The Cleric read a letter from T. Bailey which requested
that old city tax certificates be sold to him. The Cleric was ins-

ore had asked to have the taxes assigned, and upon failure to hear
from the property owners, they would be assigned.
I John hosendahl appeared before the council and requested
permission to bring in a portable skating rink, tivhich permission the
Council had previously denied. Due to the fact that several citizens
had asked that a skating rink be allowed to come, Councilman Labree
moved that Mr. Rosendahl be divan permission to bring his rink in,
with the proviso that he hold one and one half hour sessions and
that if the music or noise proved to be a nuisance, He would be re- ,
quested to move on five-days written notice. Seconded by Councilman
frost and carried.
Tom Berryhill appeared before the Council in regard to the
trailer ordinance. Tabled until P. full board was present.
Phil Craig, together with J. H. Thompson of the Imperial
Oil Co. , came before the Council and asked if a permit would be
issued for five 20,000 gal. bulk gasoline storage tanks if they
were put underground. After discussion, it was decided that if the
tanks were placed underground snd sufficiently weighted down, per-
mission would be granted, on Lots 5 to 9, 131k. G, Hanson & Nelson.
Joe Bryant appeared before the Council and stated that
