Ellis, Jr. City Manager Luthor Sparkman Meeting called to order by Mliyor Brooke at 7:30 p.m. Minutes of meeting held Febru;:ry 11, 1946, read, ap- proved as read and ordered adopted. John Hanley appeared before the Council and presented a proposal to operate a boat storage and service business in the Yacht Basin. . Request approved provided he obtained the proper licenses. r I: Paul Marks ' request to use Lots 1, 22 3, 4, 5, 202 21 and 22, Block 22 North Hollywood as a tourist court for trailers and cottages was denied until he could obtain the names of all the property 3 owners in Block 22, North Hollywood a/so p�vpecf7owue.� /a 'D I ruts y c Mrs. Campbellfs- request(ito be allowed to put porches on trailers in her trailer park was refused. . The matter was re- ferred to the building committee to discuss zoning her property to a.Llow porches. County Com!r.issioner F. L. Neville reported that' Dania Beach Road was included in the state highway Department fs budget, and that work would begin in the near future. City Manager Sparkman made a report on the survey of water meters and their condition in connection with the accounts as they were being collected. The need for meters was discussed. Councilman LaBred moved that 50 3/4" meters be purchased; seconded by Councilman Ryan and carried. Mayor Brooke called fora discussion on the city beach property. Attorney Ellis suggested that the City Council submit to the electorate a policy or policies which would determine how the property should be handled. These policies were to be decided upon by the Council and then submitted to a referendum vote by the citizens of Dania. Further discussion was postponed until such time as the entire council was present to decide upon policies. There being no further business, meeting was recessed until a later date. is r X.:s
