Parkhurst A. J . Ryan A. M. LaBree Lincoln Frost Attorney T. D. Ellis, Jr. Clerk Sidney R. Mullikin Meeting was called to order by L;ayor Brooke at 7:30 p.m. Minutes of meeting held January 14, 1946 read, corrected, approved as corrected and ordered adopted. E Mr. Morris of the Shelley tractor and Equipment Co, came i before the Council in regard to the sale of a caterpillar diesel engine for the booster victor pump for the Water Depart- ment and a tractor with street attachments for the Street De- partment. After discussion, the matter was tabled for further investigation. A bid was presented from R: . D. Lynde for the painting and re- pairing of the water tank in the amount of $565.00 The Uity was to furnish the iron for repairs . Councilman Parkhurst moved that R. D. Lynde be granted a contract ,for; the painting and repairing of the water tank, in the amount of 4565.00. Motion seconded by Councilman Ryan and carried. Mr. Maxie Gould came before the Council in regard to rezoning Block 3 of Dania Heights ] , From Resident A to Resident B area. After discussion Mr. Gould was told to contact the owners of highway property in Block 1 and 2 of Dania Heights and get the consent to have this property rezoned and report back to the Council at a later date. Councilman vrost reported on the beach amusement project. He reported that he had contacted Yx. Utah in regard to , the beach— project but could not get any definite proposition, and he did not think Mr. Utah was interested in the project at this time. Mr. Frost presented plans from Mr. Gould on his proposition to place amusements and sanitary facilities on the beach. A.letter was read from Mr. Daugherty in regard to building toilets and sanitary facilities on the beach. After discussion, Mr. Gould was requested to 1br7ir% in a written proposition to be considered by the Council, and Mir. Daugherty's letter was ordered to be an- swered, and that he be told to appear before the Council to out- line his proposition on Monday, Jan. 28. A bill was received from Carl A. Peterson for painting and re- pairing the library. Councilman Ryan moved that the bill be paid as presented. Seconded by Councilman Parkhurst and carried. The Clerk presented a liquor license application for Rosetta Allen. Councilman Parkhurst moved that license be granted. Seconded by Councilman Ryan and carried. Discussed complaints in regard to Mrs. Wilson's chickens in Block 2, Dania Heights Extension. The Chief of Police was ins- tructed to inform Mrs. Wilson to clean u3 her chicken yard and get rid of a portion of her chickens or the Council would have to take action to remove her chickens from this vicinity as it was in Resident A area. _ The Chairman of the committee appointed to investigate trailer parks reported that up to the present time they had been unable to contact Dr. Johns to make this inspection. The Clerk was no tified to cortact Mr. Johns in regard to meeting and he embers of this committee and inspecting the trailer camps, h - the members when Mr. Johns could meet with them.
