Yeeting called to order uy I'Inyor Kelly at 8:00
L,inutes of meetings held during the month of Oct-
ober were read, approved as rend, arul ordered adopted.
Clerk presented application fox, 'aine and beer li-
cense for the ueacon Inn for L:r. Var toper and L.r. Halter Cooper.
uouncilman Parkhurst moved that: license je granted; seconded by
Councilman Brooke and carried.
i1r, halter Gillette came before the Council and
requested that he be allowed to build a shop on the back: of his,
property located in acreage, Section 3-51-42. lie reported that
the front part of the lot was in Li business area , and the rerr
portion of the lot '..as in b resident area; that lie had ro out-
let through the back of the lot, and that unless lie was allowed
to build a shop on the lI resident portion of his property, he
would not have enough area to construct the shop, and lie there-
fore requested permission to build a shop on the 15 resident area
of this property. LIT. Gillette was instructed to get permission
from the surrounding property o:,:ners to build his shop in this
area and report back to the council at a later date.
The clerk: reported that Tax t%ssessor Iienry lian-
sell had completed the 1945 tax roll, and that he should be paid
for the roll. Cour.ciltiar, %Brooke moved that Henry Hansell be
paid 5,500.00 for the 1945 tax roll; seconded by Councilman Park-
hurst and carried.
The Council canvassed returns for tl-e general elec-
tion. Councilman Lsrooke moved tliat the returns as presented be
accepted, and that Lincoln Frost and A. M. Laisree be declared
elected as Councilmen for the ensuing two years; seconded by Council-
man Parkhurst and carried.
Councilman urooke moved that tLe Clerk be ins-
tructed to pay the Clerks and Inspectors of the Primary and uen-
eral Llection boards $�6.00 for their services; seconded by Coun-
cilman Parldiurst and carried.

tist Church had objected to the Dania Tourist Court beer parlor
being issued a license too close to the church and requested that
the present Council rectify the mistake. After a discussion;
Chief of police fienson, rith Pire Chief Lirooks , %sere ins-
tructed to measure the distance from the church to the Dania
Tourist Court beer parlor and report back to the. Council at a
later date.
An ordinance %•gas read prohibiting female dogs
from running at large within the city limits. Councilman. Park-
hurst moved that first and second readings be waived and that
it. ordinance be passed in final passage; seconded by Councilman
Brooke and carried. Councilman urooke moved that ordinance be
passed and adopted as read; seconded by uouncili::rn Parkhurst and
