- ember ,:ere read, corrected as read and ordered adopted as cor-
rected.
An ordinance eras read prohii,it-inc. dogs on Dania
Beach. Councilr.:an Ryan moved that first and second readings
he waived, r.rd that the ordinance he placed in final passage.
Lotion seconded by Councilman Parkhurst and carried. Council-
man Parkhurst moved that ordinance be passed and adopted as
read. Secorded by Councilman Parker and carried.
The Ulerk was instructed to find out from Lir. •,

the rot;ard County humane Society pens.
Attorney Lllis recommended that the Clerk and in-
spectors be ai:poirted for the Prima r,,• election. Councilman
Parkhurst moved th+'t 0. L. i;imbrell be appoirted as Ulerk for
the Primar•,; election and to serve also at the General elec-
tion;- that z. I1ystrom, L�loise 1.1elhiffie and James +inlsh be ap-
pointed as lrspectors to serve for the Primary Llection and
also for the General election. That Belle Gray, L:rs. J. G.
Jackson, Arline Cappleman and Lirs. L. C. Davis be appointed
as alternates. !,otion recorded by Councilmruz Parker and car-
ried.

at this location. Reverend Kimbrell presented petitions to the
Council requesting, the.t car rooms and liquor stores he closed
from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on week days and 12:00 midnight
on Saturday to 7:00 a.m. I,:onday. After discussion an ordinance
was read closing liquor establishments. councilman Kelly moved
that the ordfronce be passed on first reading. lifter a dis-
cussion, motion was cithdrawn by Councilman Kelly, councilman

seconded by Councilman Parkhurst and carried.
The Clerk reported that Uoach Smithrs term of
emnloymert as recreational Director had expired and that he
had asked for his payment. Councilmen Parkhurst moved that he

Councilman it;;an moved that the bills be pz:id as listed; seconded
by Councilman Kelly and carried.
The Cleric reported that an electrical examining
bond lams needed in order to issue :Licenses for electrical con-
tractors. After e. di Scussi on, Councilman Yarlcer moved that Mr.
Anderson of the Anderson i:lectricnl Compr.ny, Clarence Parkhurst,
and that the City- Clerk be e.ppointed as an electrical examin-
ing board, t:nd thi:t electricians taking- the license be charged
¢2 for journeymen, and ;>10 for master electrici'nns. Seconded
by Councilman itynn and Carried.
The Cleric presented an nppliention for transfer
of liquor store license, i'rom Bernard winger to Ilse Levin.
Councilman i;ynn moved that the transfer be granted, seconded
by Councilman Kelly and carried.
Counciltnra i' rl:hurst reported that police patrol-
c man aobinson iiad asked for a raise in salary and recommended
that :;�175 per month be pr_id. councilman Kelly moved that the
v" salary of police officer fwoinson be raised to �;?"165 a month as
of 1 October 1945, seconded by Cour_cilmar Ryan and carried.
