Breedinl�. Councilran Brooke moved that licenses be apprbved; seconded
by Councilman I'r:r::hu_'St: an(l carried.
The Clerk reported thr_t the sand at the teach ,.,as too heavy
to be shoveled off b, hand and renuusted that a bulldozer be hired
to d0 ti!e . ork. The Cleric was instructed to hire a bulldozer and to
oversee the streets being cleaned. Attorney Ellis was instructed
to dra11 up an ordinance preventing does on the ocach.
Attorney LLlis explained the taxi cab ordinance. Colored
taxi a..ners wore notified to obtain the proper certificate of nec-
essity. The Clerk presented an application for certificate of Public
convenience and necessity by Howard Nernst, of the Dania Cab Co. for
12 taxi cabs . Councilman. Brooke moved that Ho."rard uernst be granted
a certificate of public convenience and necessity for six cabs.
Lotion was seconded b Councilman Parkhurst anal carried.

taxi cabs . Lotion seconded by Councilman Parkhurst and upon roll
