Llullikin The meeting was called to order by l;;ar;or Kelly at 8:00 p.m. The Clerk presented the following liquor, urine and beer ap- plications for the approval of the Council: H. H. Norris Dips;; Doodle Bar and Inn Robert J. Witt Y. W. Station Geo. S. Dewey 11argaret S. and Don L oore - Councilman Ryan moved that licenses be granted; motion seconded by Councilman Brooke and carried. Councilman it an moved that other trine and beer licenses be investigated by the Police Department; mo- tion seconded by Councilman Brooke and carried. An ordir_ar-ce was read setting time of closing of liquor stores. Ordinance was tabled for further consideration. Councilman Ryan moved that bars ar_d beer and Brine establishments be open until 3 :00 a.m. , and that juke organs, musical instruments, bands and orchestras be shut off at 12:00 p.m. !,:otion seconded by Councilman i3rooke .nd carried. The Cleric reported that mrs. Basso had complained about order- ing her water out off because of a leak in her cater tank; that the crater department failed to shut the water off and that the crater had ruir_ed her floors; that she had requested that the City pa;., for the floors . The Clerk was instructed that if Nrs. Sasso should make a com- plaint, that he should have her ':rite a letter to the Citr;, c;hich letter should be turned over to Attorney Ellis for further action. The Clerk reported that the garbage dump was ir_ bad condition and needed to leave the garbage pushed into the garbage pit by a bulldozer. Councilman Brooke was authorized to obtain a bulldozer and have the Garbage dump cleaned up. A taxi crab ordinance was read. irieetir_g was recessed for ten minutes at this time by the Layer. I.1eeting called into session by the Layer. t.r. *. illiam Block came before the Council and requested a permit for. two taxi cabs . 1„r. R;,an moved that lur. block be given a permit for two taxi cabs when he conipliedwith the ordinance. Died for cunt of a second. Councilman ityan moved that the fee for operating be set at ;p25 for each cab; motion seconded by Councilman Parkhurst and car- ried. Councilman Ryan moved that rates be set at. 50� arr.- place in Dania for one to five passengers, except from the City to Dania Beach, the fare shall be 75¢ for one to five passengers. Lotion was seconded b;; Councilman Parkhurst and carried. l.:r. ityan moved that first and second re-,dings of taxi ordinances be waived and that ordinance be passed. Lotion seconded by Councilman Brooke and curried. Oc;:ncilman Parkhurst moved that ordinance Ise passed and adopted as read; r.iotion seconcled b- Councilman Pilriker and 4 carried. P. Brook came before the Council and presented a plat of -50-42x roplatting acreage in Section 27, Township 50, Itange 42 and 34 this property into different tracts.
